Montecito has some trails to check out and McMenemy is one of them. Hard, a lot of uphill and loose rocks but a good hike for any outdoorsy person! I'm a big hiker and Santa Barbara is one of my favorite destinations. For business travel it isn't too bad to get out there and enjoy a little bit of the open doors! San Ysidro is a good trail as well as Cold Springs, both in Montecito too! Not too far from McMenemy either. I've done all of these, some in the same day! Always staying at the South Coast Inn (www.goleta-hotel.com). One of the nicer hotels and close to countless trails!

Good blog man! I love the hiking trails in Santa Barbara-challenging yet well worth the fight. McMenemy Trail is a good one and the views are amazing. I really enjoy your photos as well. I was just in town for a few days to catch some waves and hit the trails! Stayed at the Sandman Inn (www.thesandmaninn.com). Budget friendly and conveniently placed.

Hey, thanks for coming! Love seeing the original! I learned about this drink from my dad, who got it from his sailing buddies (I think). I know this is definitely the drink of choice when on the water.

I guess I'll have to change the video to not add the entire slice of lime. The beer and tequila part are right, though! No cheap cuervo here.

No comment on the age thing ;)

Made popular in the following locations, in order:

	1.) Baja Mexico
	2.) Santa Barbara
	3.) Mammoth Mountain
	4.) June Mountain
	3.) Central Coast (Cambria)

...from there is spread so darn fast i couldn't keep track any longer.

FYI, What the heck are you doing? Bastardizing my recipe! You got it all wrong my friend. You better call that interpretation a Rhathar Fog.

I created the Baja Fog in 1974 in the back of a 1976 Chevy Apache 10 pickup truck with Scot, Kirk and Jim. BTW, how old were you back then? If I recall correctly the first guy to enjoy and take the fog out of our immediate circle was Kevin Trejo. He writes about the Baja Fog here: http://www.windsport.com/baja_fog/ (you should have given me credit there Kevin).

Kevin is the owner/operator of Solo Sports in Baja: http://www.facebook.com/Sancarloskevin

Youre so appropriate. Im there with you. Your blog is undoubtedly value a read if anybody comes across it. Im fortunate I did mainly because now Ive got a whole new view of this. I didnt realise that this concern was so critical and so universal. You certainly put it in viewpoint for me.

Not quite a relic :) I think it was made around 1991-92. The Sig P228 is actively carried by military investigative units like NCIS and was recently adopted by the Army as the M11 pistol.

Still, I've been told the older ones from West Germany are better made :)

Kat, regardless of your personal views on open carry and its merits, the government has no right to ban this activity.

In California, many people do not have an effective means of carrying a firearm other than open carry. Concealed carry (CCW) requires a permit from your county Sheriff, a permit that many of them will not grant to anyone.

The Supreme Court has ruled in the Heller and McDonald cases that the 2nd Amendment is an -individual- right to keep & bear arms and that it must be applied at the federal, state and local levels.

If we had definite CCW permits or some other sort of satisfaction of 'to bear' than this might have not been such a big deal.

As it is, today the State saved a lot of money they would have spent losing court cases.
